The Pasadena Arts Council

The Los Angeles International Student Film Festival is a project of the Pasadena Arts Council's Emerge Fiscal Sponsorship Program.  Pasadena Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Donations to the Los Angeles International Student Film Festival are tax deductible to the full extent of the law under Federal ID 95-2540759.

In order to keep submission fees low for students and allow the community to attend screenings at a minimal cost our primary source of income will come in the form of corporate sponsorships, non-corporate donations, private donors, and foundations interested in supporting the arts.  All funds will directly support the production of the annual festival and enable us to give student filmmakers more opportunities and assistance. Please follow the donation link here to help support the festival or email info@lastudentfilmfest.com to set up a personalized giving plan.

Story

Our Focus

The Los Angeles International Student Film Festival will host an annual festival dedicated solely to screening work created by students enrolled in high school, undergraduate and graduate programs. By focusing on student films on an international level we are bringing together a global community of filmmakers who share the common goal of education and artistic expression. Programming is aimed towards creating a rich pallet of unique perspectives thereby exposing our audience to new concepts, stories, and people. Our award program will provide a grant to the filmmaker in each age category that stands out as the most innovative as decided by our jury panel. Awards are given with the intent to enhance student films by supplying added financial backing to their projects and decreasing the stress of raising money while creating films and going to school. Most importantly the festival will give talented students a sound board from which to be heard and motivate them to further delve into their craft.
